Where does your donation go?
The first place your donation goes is covering student tuition. If the fund produces $30,000, and we have $15,000 in student scholarships to cover, it cover the $15,000 first and only after that will funds be used for other expenses.
The next expense will be supporting and paying our teachers and staff who are doing the essential work of educating our community.
Lastly, if any funds remain, we will use it for general operational expenses.
Note: Your donation does NOT constitute zakāt, since this is an endowment. Your donation is sadaqah jāriyah (ongoing charity).
This fund is managed by Afterfund.co. When you donate to this fund, Afterfund makes a personalized dashboard for you where you can track the growth of your donation. While a normal $200 donation could only cover 2/13 of a student’s tuition normally, a $200 to this fund will cover an entire student’s tuition due to the growth of the donation.
