In the Light of Knowledge
Afiyah Book Club
FIRST MEETING NOV 1, 2026 • 1ST SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH • 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Book Club Description:
Reading has become a lost art. It has always been a key supplemental part of the knowledge journey. While teachers are indispensable, good books help us gain knowledge and are the best company when alone.
As a complement to our Foundations Program, Afiyah is launching a monthly book club called In the Light of Knowledge. The book club is open to both men and women and will generally meet on the first Sunday of every month, insha’Allah.
Members will have access to a forum where post-meeting discussion occurs and additional resources are shared.
Our first meeting will be Sunday, November 1st and will be led by Ustadh Yusuf Masud, a certified bibliophile, whose love of books is palpable. We are honored to have him moderate our discussions.
